A quick and easy guide to tearing down anti-marriage equality arguments.
A quick and easy guide to tearing down anti-marriage equality arguments.
It’s for my Intro to Diversity class.
Suggestions are welcome.
Anyone?
Okay, I think since everyone else put is making a big deal about this gay marriage thing, I'll voice my opinion. Many of you know I'm a Christian. I'm not like most of my brothers in the fact I have homosexual friends. But all in all, all I have to say is... SHUT THE FUCK UP. TO EVERYONE. Marriage is not THAT big of a deal. Why the hell would you wanna be married to one person to the rest of your life anyways? If you wanna be in prison, commit a crime. All this whining and bitching over rights is getting old. Why complain over something we've never had in the first place? So quit whining and just legalize gay marriage already. If more people wanna jump into a death trap, I'll be glad to push them in. But quit posting your ideologies all over the Internet. Talk to your fucking Congressman for fucks sake. God.
I'm just tired of everyone bitching about it. It's NOT that big of a deal, and marriage is a church deal. What happened to separation of church and state? The founding fathers and key activists in every rights group that has passed would WEEP right now, because we're letting something like this become such a big deal. It's a STATUS at best, one that I may never live to see if this keeps up, because I don't wanna live in a world that lets something so small split us as a people.
Honey, I think you're missing the point. Marriage isn't just a church thing. People from all countries and all religions, even the nonreligious, have been getting married for centuries. Believe what you want, but it IS that big of a deal. Marriage is not a status, it's a freedom. Homosexuals have the right to have whatever "status" they want. Maybe to you it's just a piece of paper and a new ID, but to some, it's the ability to start a family. I'm assuming you've never thought about that. I hate to be mean, but only an absolute idiot would think that this isn't a big deal. I'm sure the founding fathers would also weep about not having slaves anymore. Can you justify that one? It's a new day. If you don't want to hear anymore "bitching" about people having equal rights, go lock yourself deep inside of a fundamenalist church and stay there. If you want to live a healthy life, I suggest you deal with it in a more productive way.

So, I’m not gay. But I have friends, family, and people who are very close to my life who are whom i support by any which way I can.
I question that always seems to pop up in my mind whenever the issue of Gay marriage is brought up is… “Who cares?”
I support Gay marriage only because I really don’t see a logical reason as to why i shouldn’t.
The bible? How can we base the laws of a country on one specific religious item when people follow a multitude of religious beliefs?
and if this was a truly biblical country… life would be a lot more like attending a life long catholic school. Think about it.
Now, Other than the bible no one has come up with a reason as to why gay marriage should illegal.
the civil union between two people regardless of gender should really be between those two people and they should be allowed to enjoy their lives without having a book thrown at them… no one should be banned from being happy.
Banning it won’t be beneficial in any way
and its not like Married Gays have ever caused destruction and reeked havoc within society…
No one will die
and the world will not end.
Plus, banning Gay MARRIAGE won’t ban gay PEOPLE. They’re still here and will always be here so why not let them have the same rights as everyone else…
They’re just like everyone else on the inside…
in fact, they’re just like everyone else on the outside too.
They’re just, Gay.
I mean, I wouldn’t want anyone telling me who I can or cannot get married to, would you?
So yes, I am EXTREMELY happy that NY has legalized gay marriage and I congratulate any couple who has tied the knot and wish them all the best!
so get over it… because, while I have managed to write an entire page on the matter, the truth is, its really not that big of a deal.
Let it go.
TRUTH.
mad respect for this reporter.
holy shit, did i just gain some respect for fox news?
I agree the world is sometimes a terrible place, but NEVER to the extent of this woman and wtf kind of God does she believe in!?
This lady is fucking insane. I have a lot of respect for the reporter for willingly arguing and even quoting scripture against this dipshit. It’s people like this insane lady and all her fucked up followers that make people think Christians are insane. It’s people like them that don’t even understand that God is love. I don’t give a fuck what she says, that lady isn’t part of a religion; she’s part of a cult.
And it’s people like the reporter that make me a little less ashamed to be part of a country as fucked up as America. To stand up for the rights of millions of people against some idiotic creep that was asked to be interviewed on national television in front of a massive audience and probably knowing the possibility of things being taken too far and her possibly losing her job, now that takes courage. I respect her with every fiber of my being. That’s the kind of pride that Americans need to have. Not even just Americans, all of us.
Can I just hug her?
intense
“Mam, I think it’s disgusting that you even use that word.” - in response to the use of ‘fag’. And it was at this moment that I gained total and utter respect for this reporter.
I love this reporter so much I could cry.
Usually I don’t like Fox News. Right now, and possibly only now, do I have respect for their station and this particular reporter. The Westboro Baptist Church needs to either wake up and accept their neighbors or get taken down.
god. what is wrong with some people in the world.
God would never hate his own creation.
So fuck you, you Crazies.
forever reblog. fucking love this reporter.
Fucking motherfuck yeah. I was screaming at my computer. I just gained respect for Fox.
